Woodside, located on the San Francisco Peninsula, is a charming small town with a population of 5,309, according to the 2020 census. The town is widely known as one of the wealthiest communities in the United States, boasting prominent residents such as Stanford professors, professional athletes and coaches, philanthropists, famous musicians, and entertainment stars.
One of Woodside’s notable features is its picturesque wooded landscape. The town’s numerous parks and open spaces offer a stunning backdrop to the community. Huddart Park, Wunderlich County Park, El Corte de Madera Creek Open Space Preserve, and Windy Hill Open Space Preserve are popular hiking destinations in the area, with various hiking trails and equestrian trails to explore. The town has a strong equestrian culture, and many residents keep horses on their property. The Horse Park at Woodside is a sprawling 272-acre facility that offers plenty of trails and other equestrian activities.
Woodside falls within California’s 13th State Senate District, represented by Josh Becker. The town is also part of the 23rd Assembly District, represented by Marc Berman. At the federal level, Woodside is located in California’s 16th Congressional District, represented by Sam Liccardo.
